The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in mechanical engineering design, testing, and documentation, while meeting strict clearance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research and analysis of customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Perform thermal analysis of components and lead Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) in accordance with Military Standard procedures.
- Develop and maintain technical drawings and documentation packages to support engineering deliverables.
- Apply advanced knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred) to create models and designs.
- Utilize Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) 3D modeling for performance analysis.
- Prepare Bills of Material and support cost/quality decision-making processes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Ten (10) years of full-time professional experience in the design, development, production, or testing of electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or hydro-electronic equipment.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred).
- Strong background in CFD 3D modeling.
- Experience with Bills of Material and cost/quality analysis.
