Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Landscape Technician to join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the beauty and health of various landscapes, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and weeding to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and well-kept
- Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Conduct plant identification to properly care for diverse flora and implement pest management strategies following safety protocols
- Maintain grounds by trimming trees, pruning shrubs, installing or repairing hardscape features, and performing seasonal snow plowing when required
- Follow safety procedures rigorously during all tasks to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Assist with landscape design projects or installations by supporting team members with technical knowledge of landscaping techniques
Qualifications
- Must have Drivers Licenses and have experience pulling trailers.
- Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of groundskeeping practices
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with horticulture principles, plant identification, lawn care, tree care, gardening, and pesticide management
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely
- Knowledge of safety protocols relevant to outdoor work environments and equipment use
- Excellent physical stamina for extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, bending, and operating equipment in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely while maintaining high-quality standards
