Position Summary:
The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance duties to ensure the efficient operation and safety of warehouse facilities and equipment. This position requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills who can troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems and machinery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts and related material handling systems.
Conduct general building repairs such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural maintenance.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and on-call service needs to minimize operational disruptions.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Collaborate with operations and safety personnel to identify and address maintenance priorities.
Participate in the on-call rotation and work overtime as necessary to support facility needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience with forklift repair and maintenance strongly preferred.
Ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus, or willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Must be available for overtime and on-call assignments as required.
