We believe in growing greatness in every child, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Education Coordinator to help support and strengthen our teaching team.
Position Summary
The Education Coordinator supports the quality and consistency of teaching and learning across the center. Working in collaboration with the Executive Director and classroom staff, this role focuses on curriculum implementation, teacher support and training, classroom observations, and compliance with VPK and early learning standards.
The Education Coordinator also assists with key operational and administrative functions that support the day-to-day leadership of the center.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Instruction
Support the implementation and consistency of curriculum across all classrooms- Assist teachers with lesson planning using Creative Curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices
Help ensure classroom environments support children's social, emotional, and academic growth
Staff Support & Development
Provide coaching, guidance, and support to teaching staff- Assist with onboarding and training of new teachers
- Support ongoing professional development and classroom quality improvement
Program Monitoring
Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback- Monitor classroom practices to ensure alignment with early learning standards
- Support teachers in implementing effective classroom management and engagement strategies
Assessment & Data
- Coordinate child assessments and documentation using Teaching Strategies GOLD or similar tools
Review and analyze child development data to support program improvement
Compliance & Program Support
- Ensure compliance with VPK guidelines and documentation requirements
Assist with licensing, accreditation, and grant documentation - Support family engagement and communication related to children's learning and development
Center Operations
Assist with daily center operations and program coordination- Support enrollment processes and family communication
- Collaborate with leadership to maintain program quality, compliance, and a positive team culture
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education
Experience supporting teachers, mentoring staff, or leading classroom initiatives preferred - Strong understanding of VPK standards and early learning guidelines
- Experience with Creative Curriculum or similar models
- Familiarity with Teaching Strategies GOLD, CLASS, or other assessment tools preferred
