The position will work from our Bellevue, WA office Monday through Friday. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Assists in the review and evaluation of applications, ensuring they align with Company policies and underwriting guidelines. Participates in examining and processing new insurance policies, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations using various systems. Prepares and maintains underwriting files, ensuring all documents and approvals are properly filed, including working with agents to gather additional information to clarify applications. Enters or loads data into appropriate systems and researches and resolves data errors. Generates and distributes policy documents, certificates of insurance, and other related materials. Organizes, prepares, and updates reports. Participates in determining and adjusting billing status as needed. Onboards new customers under previously underwritten program following the agreed upon terms and conditions Enter policy information on an assigned product in accordance with template rules. Proofs / audits policy information in various systems based on an assigned product. Reviews premium and loss data on an individual account as part of renewal underwriting, change underwriting, or mid-term underwriting. Participates in identifying opportunities to streamline procedures, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. Orders, reviews, and takes appropriate action on required reports, endorsement requests, service requests, and general correspondence. Research and respond to questions from brokers/agents. Analyzes relevant data, including financial statements, property valuations, and loss histories, frequency, severity, exposure accumulation, asset coding, and rating adequacy to assess risk exposure. Compiles reports on risk evaluations, policy statuses, and portfolio performance for underwriters and management. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred) Generally, a minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance operations or customer service. Continuing progress toward and/or the completion of a professional designation preferred, such as Property/Casualty Insurance license. Strong analytical and organizational abilities with a focus on prioritization. Experience with Microsoft products required. Prior experience with SQL preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This job is non-exempt in California and Washington. Business Unit: Specialty Equipment Salary Range: $28.84 -$31.25 Benefits: Compensation varies by role, position level, and location. Individual pay is influenced by skills, education, training, certifications, experience, and the role's scope and complexity, along with business needs.
