Duties
- Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and accommodating special dietary requests when possible.
- Stay updated on industry trends and continuously improve culinary skills through training and practice.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, particularly in sushi making..
- Excellent knife skills and an understanding of food safety standards are essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high quality.
