Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required, Master’s degree preferred
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (multi-state reciprocity preferred)
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, permitting, and construction practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams in dynamic environments
- 12 years of experience in civil engineering
- Proficient with the development of design and construction documents for infrastructure projects
- Proven experience with regulatory requirements and permitting associated with infrastructure projects
- Background in electric transmission or similar infrastructure projects preferred
- Experience using engineering and project tools such as AutoCAD, Hydrology, Hydraulic, Stormwater Management and Project Management software
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor, applying advanced engineering concepts to complex challenges
- Evaluate and implement innovative methods, tools, and processes
- Analyze projects from a systems perspective with a focus on sustainability and long-term performance
- Stay current on evolving engineering practices and recommend improvements
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, designers, and drafters
- Assign work, manage performance, and foster continuous learning
- Provide coaching that builds technical capability and professional growth
- Promote a culture of curiosity, accountability, and collaboration
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal partners
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Lead with influence—bringing teams together to solve complex challenges
