Gagnon's Tire and Auto Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to add to our team. We are an award-winning shop renowned for employee retention. We provide a comprehensive support staff to ensure tech productivity. Diagnostic and specialty tools are provided along with excellent information services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the capability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
Compensation:
- Pay is based on skill level, with an estimated annual income of $100,000 based on our current certified technicians.
- End-of-year and monthly bonuses determined by job performance.
Duties:
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using schematics and technical information.
- Repair and maintain automotive electrical systems, ensuring all components function correctly.
- Conduct powertrain diagnostics and repairs.
- Align vehicles to manufacturer specifications to ensure optimal handling and safety.
- Demonstrate expertise in various automotive systems, including electrical systems and air conditioning.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of proven automotive experience.
- Proper tools required for performing repairs.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical documents related to automotive technology.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems.
- Preferred experience with powertrain diagnostics and repairs.
- Ability to diagnose and repair automotive chassis and brakes.
- Positive attitude and conscientious with a strong work ethic.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- ASE certifications are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to repeatedly stand, walk, push, and reach.
- Full range of motion for reaching, bending, and stooping.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
