Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to senior individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs under the direction of healthcare professionals
- Implement individualized care plans and support goals for each individual
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding if necessary
- Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals
- Document observations, progress, and incidents accurately and timely
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in direct support or related field preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques is a plus
- Ability to work with individuals with intellecual, developmental and aging disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
