Multiple openings available. Lead the design, development, evaluation, selection and order of robust equipment that is cost effective and meeting the run rate metric. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate with equipment supplier and manufacturing counterpart to generate detailed timeline of equipment design review, fabrication, FAT, shipment, installation, qualification, and deployment to the new factories. Define schedule, needed resources and dependencies to have a successful installation, qualification and production start of new lines. Generate acceptance specification, design test plan and perform the validation during vendor’s factory acceptance testing before the tool’s shipment. Work with suppliers to maintain and upgrade/retrofit the existing manufacturing equipment as products/production needs evolve. Lead the cross-functional team to generate the necessary documents (FMEA, OCAP, pre-flight, preventive maintenance, PCP, operating specs) for the manufacturing readiness. Provide manufacturing support on critical major downtimes on troubleshooting, analysis and repair. Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time – as need basis. Telecommuting may be permitted. Domestic and international travel required 50% of the time. When not telecommuting, must report Longhorn Junction 110, SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of professional experience in high-volume manufacturing (including developing, qualifying, automating, and deploying equipment) for the delivery of photovoltaic (PV) equipment. Must also have experience with the following special skills: 5 years of professional experience working with electromechanical, PLC, pneumatics, soldering, vision inspection system or motion controllers; 5 years of professional experience generating manufacturing documents and methodologies (including FMEA, OCAP, SPC, COV, and DOE); 5 years of professional experience defining schedule and needed resources for the production start of new lines; 5 years of professional experience providing manufacturing support and troubleshooting.
