What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitter position at Gadsdsen Fabrication?
Gadsden Fabrication is looking to fill positions for a fitter.
Welders must be able to pass a MIG 1G weld test with metal core wire.

(Must be able to pass a drug test.)
- Must be able to fillet and butt joint weld
- Read blueprints and drawings
- Take and/or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
- May lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies
- May inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
- Observe all standard safety practices
- Maintain and complete all required records
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Basic understanding of Carbon Arcing Gouging
- Ability to maintain good attendance
- Operate grinding equipment
- Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed
- Must be able to maintain clean work area
