Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Staff Development Nurse to lead and enhance hiring and clinical training initiatives across our healthcare facility. This vital role involves hiring, designing, implementing, and evaluating the comprehensive hiring and training programs for nursing staff (cna's and nurses) healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in various clinical settings, including adult acute care and geriatrics with a strong emphasis on organization, teaching, leadership, and compliance with health regulation policies. As a pivotal member of our team, you will foster a culture of hiring, continuous learning, ensure adherence to medical documentation standards, and promote excellence in patient care through effective staff development.
Responsibilities
- Organization on Hiring Certified Nursing Assistants and Licensed Nurses
- Oversight of CNA and Nurse Master Schedule
- Oversight of Daily Nursing Rosters
- Manual Calculations of Nursing PPD and DPD
- Oversight of Nursing Status Change Forms
- Nursing Attendance Tracker and Employee Counseling Forms
- Excel Skills (schedules, default rosters, daily rosters)
- Interviews/Hire New Nursing Employees (Keep with with staffing needs)
- Meet with Orientation each Wednesday to discuss facility standards and expectations
- Meet with CNA Class after each mentor day
- Oversee and approve Nursing PTO days
- Oversee and approve Nursing "Swap" Shifts
- Communicate and work closely with Human Resources (schedule reconcilitation, call offs, employee tracking, status changes. etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Excellent communication skills
- Certification in nursing (RN license) required
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
