Entry-Level Cell Phone Repair Technician / Customer Service Sales Representative

GadgetCare Pros is hiring an Entry-Level Cell Phone Repair Technician / Customer Service Sales Representative to join our growing repair shop.

This is a hybrid position that includes basic device repairs, customer service, sales, repair intake, and front-counter responsibilities.

Although this is an entry-level position, applicants must already have basic hands-on repair experience. The ideal candidate should be comfortable completing common repairs such as screen replacements, battery replacements, and charging port replacements with minimal supervision.

We are looking to hire soon, so this position is best suited for someone who already understands the basic repair process and can begin working independently after learning our shop procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
• Check devices in for repair and document customer concerns accurately
• Perform screen, battery, charging port, camera, speaker, and other basic part replacements
• Disassemble and reassemble phones safely
• Test devices before and after repairs
• Identify basic repair issues and communicate findings to customers
• Answer phone calls and provide repair updates
• Create repair tickets, collect payments, and maintain accurate customer records
• Sell phone accessories, prepaid services, and other store products
• Keep the repair area, front counter, and waiting area clean and organized
• Accept and process repair jobs when the owner or lead technician is not in the store
• Contact the owner regarding advanced repairs, motherboard issues, data recovery, or unusual problems

Required Experience

Applicants should already have basic experience with:

• Smartphone screen replacements
• Battery replacements
• Charging port replacements
• Safe phone disassembly and reassembly
• Proper adhesive installation
• Basic device testing and troubleshooting
• Using common phone repair tools

Advanced motherboard or microsoldering experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Basic hands-on phone repair experience is required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with customers in person and over the phone
• Dependable, punctual, honest, and professional
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable using computers, smartphones, and point-of-sale systems
• Good attention to detail
• Able to follow repair procedures and maintain an organized workspace
• Retail or sales experience is preferred but not required
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus

What We’re Looking For

We need someone who can handle both basic repairs and front-counter responsibilities.

The right candidate should be able to confidently assist customers, accept repair jobs, complete common repairs, sell accessories, and keep the shop operating when the owner is unavailable.

This is not a position for someone with no repair experience. Some guidance and shop-specific training will be provided, but applicants must already understand the basics of cellphone repair.

Schedule

• Part-time
• Weekday availability required
• Some weekend availability may be required
• Opening or closing shifts may be available
• Additional hours may become available as the business grows

Compensation

• $17–$22 per hour
• Starting pay depends on repair experience, customer service skills, and ability to work independently
• Opportunity for increased hours and responsibilities based on performance
