What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Corporate Finance position at Gables Search Group?
We are conducting a confidential search for a Vice President of Corporate Finance to join a large, high-growth enterprise organization. This highly visible executive role will lead critical corporate finance functions while partnering with senior leadership on financial strategy, liquidity, risk, and operational decisions.
The position is based onsite in Baton Rouge. The company’s Metairie office may be considered for an exceptional candidate.
What You’ll Do
- Lead corporate financial reporting, treasury, cash flow management, lender compliance, and banking relationships
- Oversee accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under U.S. GAAP
- Prepare financial reporting and presentations for executive leadership, the Finance Committee, and Board of Directors
- Manage liquidity planning, debt covenant reporting, credit agreements, and lender packages
- Partner with leadership on capital structure, financing, enterprise risk, and strategic initiatives
- Support acquisitions and other complex corporate transactions
- Strengthen internal controls and build scalable finance processes
- Develop and mentor accounting and finance professionals
- Manage relationships with auditors, lenders, tax advisors, and other external partners
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA strongly preferred; MBA or CMA also valued
- Ten or more years of progressive corporate finance, accounting, treasury, audit, or financial reporting experience
- Leadership experience within a large, complex, multi-entity organization
- Strong command of U.S. GAAP, cash flow reporting, debt schedules, covenant calculations, and executive reporting
- Demonstrated career progression and employment stability
- Experience leading teams and managing high-stakes deadlines
Highly Preferred
- Construction, engineering, infrastructure, industrial services, manufacturing, energy, or another project-based industry
- Private equity-backed, leveraged, or lender-intensive environments
- Big Four public accounting experience
- Advanced ERP, reporting, treasury, and Excel capabilities
