Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Our client is hiring a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for an onsite position in Huntsville, Alabama. This hands-on R&D role focuses on developing embedded electronic hardware for advanced commercial products.

Relocation assistance is available. Candidates currently working in the United States on an employment visa will be considered.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design embedded electrical hardware, power electronics, and printed circuit boards
• Create and evaluate circuit-level designs from concept through prototype
• Perform circuit simulation, modeling, laboratory testing, and data analysis
• Troubleshoot hardware performance and support design improvements
• Select components and evaluate emerging technologies and supplier capabilities
• Coordinate hardware integration with software and systems engineers
• Participate in technical reviews and customer presentations
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
• At least seven years of electrical or electronics design experience
• Strong experience with embedded power electronics and PCB design
• Experience taking hardware designs from initial concept through development and testing
• Proficiency with circuit simulation and modeling tools
• Commercial electronics experience within consumer products, medical devices, or automotive systems
  
  

Candidates must have commercial product-development experience in one of the industries listed above. Aerospace or defense-only electronics backgrounds will not meet this requirement.
