Compensation: $95,000–$110,000

Overview

An established food processing company in the southern region of Chicago is in need of a skilled sanitation supervisor for managing sanitation operations during the third shift.

This position requires a hands-on approach. The supervisor must be actively involved on the production floor, embodying the collaborative and participative culture of the team.

What the Role Entails

· Manage and supervise the sanitation team on the night shift within a large food processing facility

· Ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety, and regulatory standards

· Promote accountability and consistency by actively engaging with the team on the production floor

· Coordinate cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and equipment protocols

· Collaborate with production and quality departments to maintain sanitation standards while maximizing efficiency

· Train, mentor, and develop team members on safety procedures and standards

· Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities and compliance

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 7 years in sanitation leadership; high school diploma or GED is mandatory

· Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting is essential

· Prior experience in sanitizing processes within a food manufacturing environment is a must

· Strong managerial skills with a hands-on approach to floor operations

· Willingness to work consistently on the night shift

· Excellent communication skills and ability to lead with clarity and accountability
