Safety Compliance Specialist

We are recruiting for a Construction Safety Compliance Specialist to support active job sites within roughly a one-hour radius of Fort Wayne. This is a great opportunity for a self-directed safety professional who can work independently, build trust with field teams, and help maintain a strong safety culture across multiple projects.

This role reports to the Safety Director. A company vehicle and gas are provided for site visits.

What You’ll Do

• Visit construction job sites to review safety practices, specs, and compliance requirements
• Help develop and maintain Job Safety Analysis documents and site safety plans
• Monitor OSHA compliance and identify potential hazards before they become issues
• Investigate incidents, document findings, and support corrective action plans
• Communicate safety expectations clearly with supervisors, crews, and subcontractors
• Manage safety documentation using Excel, Microsoft Office, and contractor compliance platforms
• Support special projects and daily safety needs with limited supervision
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Active CHST certification required
• OSHA 510 and OSHA 30 Construction training strongly preferred
• Hands-on construction safety experience in the field
• Strong understanding of OSHA construction safety standards
• Ability to work independently without heavy oversight
• Professional, calm, and practical communication style
• Strong computer skills, including Excel and online compliance systems
• Ability to travel regularly to construction sites in the Fort Wayne region
