Position Overview

A leading hiring solutions company is looking for experienced Off-Shift Production Supervisors to join a reputable Tier 1 automotive manufacturing plant in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Specializing in heavy metal stamping and producing structural components and frames for Ford trucks, this facility offers a dynamic production environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in automotive manufacturing, have managed multiple production lines, and excel at leading teams in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise production operations for multiple manufacturing lines during second or third shift.
• Lead, train, and develop production staff to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Monitor production schedules, staffing, and equipment performance to meet customer demands.
• Resolve production issues efficiently to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering departments to address production challenges.
• Track production metrics such as efficiency, scrap, downtime, and equipment performance.
• Manage employee attendance, performance, scheduling, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Support continuous improvement efforts focusing on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Share production updates, operational concerns, and shift performance with plant leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing setting is required.
• Strong preference for automotive manufacturing experience, especially in a Tier 1 supplier environment.
• Experience overseeing multiple production lines in a high-volume manufacturing plant.
• Background in metal stamping, heavy fabrication, or automotive structural components is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in a union manufacturing environment is a bonus.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable.
• Knowledge of production scheduling, manufacturing KPIs, and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot production challenges and make quick decisions in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working second or third shift.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $65,000–$75,000, based on experience.
