Seeking qualified individual for Maintenance Operations Technician II position in San Diego, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs diverse technical services/support duties requiring specialized operational knowledge.
Responsible for meeting contract sales agreement within safe, reliable, and efficient equipment operational limits.
• Independently prioritizes tasks and executes responsibilities.
• Ensures highest quality work output and advanced technical competency.
• Resolves complex technical issues and may serve as a resource for others.
• Works under limited supervision.
• Prepares and maintains various reports/documents as needed.
• Ensures adherence to safety, NERC, and environmental procedures.
• Communicates with Balancing Authority using 3-way communication.
• Familiar with NERC requirements for power plant operation.
• Utilizes email, MS Word, and MS Excel for communication and report updates.
• Communicates plant system conditions and information to others.
• Operates and monitors plant equipment during routine, abnormal, and emergency operations.
• Conducts chemical analysis on plant water systems.
• Performs maintenance on site buildings and grounds.
• Must be available for varied work hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• May require occasional travel.
• Other duties as assigned.
PROFILE TO SUCCEED
• High School Diploma, technical/vocational school degree, military service or equivalent required.
• Preferred Associates degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation.
• Senior level experience required.
• Experience with hazardous materials and testing equipment.
• Mechanical, Electrical or I&C experience preferred.
• Basic certifications/licenses required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge in chemistry, physics, electricity and mathematics.
• Ability to follow instructions and make sound decisions.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact well with others and provide work direction.
• Proficient in various computer programs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Valid U.S. Driver license required, if applicable.
