As the Operations Site Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations at the Plymouth, MI warehouse. This includes overseeing inventory, coordinating dispatch, communicating with customers, and ensuring high service levels. Working closely with various teams and partners, you will strive to optimize transportation operations, ensure on-time deliveries, and enhance customer satisfaction through efficient processes and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with service agreements
- Negotiate competitive rates with carriers
- Resolve customer and delivery issues promptly
- Maintain relationships with carriers, customers, and vendors
- Respond to emergencies and prioritize safety
- Provide operational updates to leadership
- Identify revenue growth opportunities
- Supervise staff and manage dispatch operations
- Maintain accurate inventory status and vehicle visibility
- Track performance metrics and address service issues
- Manage orders and prevent delays through proactive communication
- Implement process improvements and maintain operational consistency
Required Skills
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Strong team management and process improvement skills
- Analytical, problem-solving, and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Experience in KPI tracking, safety practices, and budget management
Qualifications & Experience
- Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations background preferred
- 3–5 years experience in logistics, transportation, or fleet operations
- Previous management experience in fast-paced environments
