Primary Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough routine preventive maintenance (PM) and intricate mechanical repairs on industrial injection molding presses, auxiliary robotics, and automated support equipment.
- Identify and promptly resolve unforeseen mechanical and electrical equipment malfunctions on the production floor to minimize molding downtime.
- Use an internal ERP software system to accurately record work orders, document completed PM procedures, and monitor component part usage.
- Conduct minor industrial electrical repairs, including safe replacement of worn electric motors, swapping fuses, and rewiring faulty control switches.
- Supervise general plant infrastructure maintenance, including inspecting/replacing filters on facility HVAC units, supervising seasonal preparations, and coordinating specialized repairs with external equipment suppliers.
Qualifications
- Background in the molding industry showcasing at least 2 years of demonstrated, hands-on experience maintaining and diagnosing plastic injection molding machinery; both maintenance and molding process knowledge are essential.
- Versatile skill set supported by a evident proficiency in diagnosing and repairing high-pressure hydraulics, pneumatic actuators, industrial plumbing loops, and basic electrical systems.
- Digital documentation abilities with a solid comfort using computer-based systems to record maintenance data (prior exposure to a CMMS or ERP work order system is a significant advantage).
- Consistent availability for a fixed Monday through Thursday, 10-hour day, 1st shift schedule commitment.
