Hospice: 7on / 7off, on call nurse (LPN or RN) – FULL-TIME

HIRING: Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse of Registered Nurse
Schedule:

Monday – Thursday 5PM-8AM

Friday 5PM-Monday 8AM (Continuous)

Territory: East Kansas City Metro territory covering approximately a 30-mile radius: Jackson County, and portions of Clay, Lafayette, Cass, Ray and Johnson counties; on-call clinicians may be dispatched anywhere within the service area.

JOB OVERVIEW: The on-call hospice nurse provides care during evenings and weekends for patients and families, utilizing community resources to deliver services after hours.

We seek a caring, skilled Hospice Nurse (LPN or RN) to join our dynamic team. The role involves tending to the personal, physical, emotional, and social requirements of patients and their families. This position includes assessing and addressing needs through phone calls, home visits, and facility visits for symptom management, treatment, education, and care coordination.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Active Nursing License in Missouri or Kansas

Current CPR certification

2-5 years of hospice or palliative care experience

Understanding of hospice services and interdisciplinary care

Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills

Attention to detail and accuracy
