Salary Range: $180,000 to $250,000 annually
Role Overview:
We are in search of an experienced Lead Counsel with expertise in Healthcare Regulatory law. This key role involves providing guidance on healthcare compliance and serving as a primary consultant on regulatory issues. Join us in influencing significant healthcare transactions and ensuring compliance with intricate legal frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer expert counsel on healthcare regulatory matters, compliance, and enforcement.
- Lead healthcare transactions like mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Act as a strategic advisor to clients regarding regulatory developments and enforcement trends.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to address and minimize legal risks.
- Develop training initiatives for clients and internal staff on regulatory adherence.
- Keep abreast of changes in healthcare legislation and provide timely advice.
- Establish and nurture client relationships while contributing to practice growth.
- Mentor junior lawyers and support team advancement.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree with strong academic standing.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare regulatory law.
- Must be admitted to the New Jersey Bar; admission to the New York Bar is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare/Medicaid, and corporate practice rules.
- Experience advising healthcare providers and systems.
- Skilled in managing government inquiries and interactions with regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of healthcare privacy laws, including HIPAA.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Demonstrated business development acumen with an enterprising mindset.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary of $180,000 to $250,000, depending on experience.
