We are recruiting a Field Application Engineer for a global leader in power electronics and industrial automation. This is an excellent opportunity for a sharp electrical engineer who wants to build expertise in servo systems, motion control, robotics, and customer-facing applications.
Prior professional servo experience is not required. The hiring manager will consider early-career engineers whose internships, co-ops, academic projects, or initial work experience demonstrate strong technical ability, hands-on problem-solving, and the capacity to learn quickly.
What You’ll Do

What You’ll Do
- Learn and support servo, motion-control, robotics, and power-electronics products
- Work with customers and sales teams to understand technical requirements and recommend solutions
- Troubleshoot application issues, test products, and support installation and validation
- Coordinate customer projects with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and global teams
- Develop technical documentation and provide product or application training
- Identify customer needs and help shape new application and product opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and an interest in industrial automation
- Relevant exposure through projects, laboratories, internships, co-ops, or professional experience
- Coursework or hands-on work involving power electronics, controls, robotics, motors, drives, embedded systems, or automation
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to explain technical information clearly and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel approximately 20%, including occasional overnight and international travel
