Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Design
- Lead civil engineering projects from concept through construction documentation.
- Prepare preliminary engineering reports, site layouts, and construction drawings.
- Research jurisdictional requirements and ensure compliance with local and regional standards.
- Oversee development of design documents using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget across multiple concurrent projects.
- Conduct site visits and document findings to inform design and construction decisions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients—ensuring satisfaction, responsiveness, and quality delivery.
- Supervise, train, and mentor engineers, designers, and technical staff with varied experience levels.
- Lead project kickoff meetings, design reviews, and client check-ins.
- Collaborate across disciplines and departments to ensure project success.
- Assist with proposal development, cost estimates, and pursuit strategies for new work.
- Prepare project work plans, schedules, and forecasting documentation.
- Track performance metrics and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to company standards and QMS protocols.
- Participate in internal business processes and weekly planning routines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
- Registered Professional Engineer in Texas
- 8–10 years of experience in civil engineering design; at least 2 years in a project management role
- Strong background in Urban Development projects preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation
- Skilled in ArcGIS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
- Confident in leading client meetings, coordinating teams, and mentoring junior staff
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
