What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide/ Dishwasher position at Gables of Ammon Assisted Living?
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the direction of the Dietary Director maintain dining room and kitchen areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Develop and maintain pleasant relationships and interactions with facility. Friendly interpersonal skill is required, and attitudes must be positive.
Fulfill shifts as scheduled and adhere to all personnel policies
Set up Legacy hot cart. This includes:
Gathering meal cards for each Legacy resident
Set up appropriate number of trays on the cart
Prepare drinks per resident request/preference
Wait for the cook to prepare plates
Load on cart
Serve dining room. This includes:
Serve each resident at least 480cc of fluids
Take each residents order and give to cook
Delivering meals as they are completed by cook
o Verify each meal with the resident's meal card and meets dietary restrictions and document any variations or refusals of diet.
Set up hot cart. This includes:
Gather meal cards for each hot cart resident
Set up appropriate number of trays on the cart
Prepare drinks per resident request/preference
Load meals on hot carts
Deliver to each resident's room in a timely manner. If resident's need assistance with food being cut up or set up, please assist as needed.
Chart on Food Intake Record for percentage consumed.
After each meal, bus the dining rooms.
This includes:
Removing dirty dishes and taking them to dishwasher to clean
Removing soiled tablecloths/napkins on each table, and take to laundry
Set up for the next meal. This includes:
Clean glass tops, setting each table with clean silverware, napkins and tablecloths.
Vacuum/Sweep each dining room.
Move chairs and tables as needed to ensure cleanliness.
Tidy up after vacuuming by pushing all chairs up to a table and double checking for any other misc. cleaning that might need to be done.
Collect hot cart trays from the resident's rooms and chart in the Resident Intake Binder appropriately. Return hot cart and trays to the kitchen.

Deliver Legacy Cart to Dishwasher
Fold dry loads of napkins and table clothes as needed
Pass Snack cart to all residents
Document on Food Intake Record
Document Diabetic snacks on Diabetic snack log
Check with the cook prior to next meal and repeat same process listed above for each mealtime.
Clean the beverage bar area. This includes:
Disinfecting the counter-top
Disinfecting the sink
Placing a clean tablecloth on the round table and refilling sugars, straws, etc.
Vacuum the floor mat
Sweep and mop the tile area separating the dining areas
Cleaning the juice, coffee, hot chocolate and soda machines and as needed
Complete other tasks as assigned by the Dietary Director and/or Administration team
