About Us:

Gable.ai is a Seattle-based startup revolutionizing the data industry. Through our data communication, change management, and collaboration platform, we empower developers to build and manage data assets, bridging the gap between data producers and consumers to upscale data quality. Fresh out of stealth mode and backed by prominent venture partners, our mission is to reshape data management by fostering collaboration and innovation. Join us in transforming the landscape of the data industry!

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be to own the design and delivery of full-stack product features. A key component of your work will be to scope out and build the best possible data solutions to green-field problems at scale. This includes working directly with customers to define the problem, shortlisting tools and technologies, implementing and validating production-grade software, evaluating, and deploying. You will work closely with product owners to design and deliver new features end-to-end, contributing to both technical implementation and functional specifications. You will leverage AI workflows to increase engineering velocity across the software development lifecycle

You'll build key product features that will have a direct impact on our company's success. You'll work closely with customers to understand their problems and requirements. You'll focus on generalizing your work and building abstractions that improve a variety of integrations with common data stack-oriented technologies.

Tech Stack:

  • TypeScript
  • Python
  • Node
  • Postgres
  • AWS
  • Snowflake
  • You bring 5 years of writing production-grade software, ideally at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Experience with modern object-oriented languages, such as TypeScript and Python.
  • You’ve previously worked with a variety of backend technologies, including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Pulumi),  Postgres, Dynamo, NoSQL databases, other relational databases, and modern API frameworks (REST).
  • You’re excited about being cross-functional and owning the whole lifecycle of autonomously building novel solutions to complex problems — from development to deployment, end to end.
  • You enjoy solving problems for our customers and are outcome-oriented.
  • You stay up-to-date with the latest developments in your area of interest in both software development and the data space. You’re comfortable reading technical papers and documentation, and reproducing the results in a production environment.
  • You’re really excited about solving the biggest challenges in the modern data stack and building applications that leverage these technologies for solving complex data problems.
  • You care about customer outcomes.
  • You enjoy fast-paced environments and exhibit a high degree of ownership and self-sufficiency. Unstructured environments are exciting to you because they represent opportunities for growth and leadership.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a devtool or devX environment.
  • Experience working anywhere within a pre-seed to Series C.
  • Experience working with other languages, such as Go, Java, or Rust.
  • Experience using AI tools to assist in engineering workflows.
  • Experience with an enterprise B2B SaaS or product-focused tech company.

  • Be part of a pioneering team that is redefining the data industry.
  • Work on cutting-edge technology with the opportunity to make a significant impact.
  • Collaborate with a talented and passionate team of engineers and industry experts.
  • Enjoy a dynamic, fast-paced, and supportive work environment.
  • Competitive compensation package and medical, dental, and vision benefits - free for employees
  • 401k
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Commuter perks

If you are passionate about the intersection of software engineering and data, and eager to contribute to the future of data management and collaboration, we would love to hear from you.
