Child Care Teacher (Lead or Assistant)

*Job Summary*

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Lead and Assistant Teachers to join our Gabby's Guppies team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, focusing on their social, emotional, and academic development.

*Responsibilities*

- Implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Director of center will help plan these.

- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that fosters learning and development.

- Monitor and assess each child's progress, adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.

- Collaborate with parents, specialists, and other educators to support children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum.

- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.

*Skills*

- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.

- Proficient in lesson planning

- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.

- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and external professionals.

*QUALIFICATIONS* (applicant must meet one of the following for :)

Acquire and maintain CPR/First Aid certifications

Pass background checks completed by the Department of Human Services and the Michigan State Police Department

Complete necessary trainings before working with children

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
