Position Summary
Gabbie’s Residential Care is seeking compassionate and dependable In-Home Caregivers to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide non-medical support and personal care services to clients in the comfort of their homes. The ideal candidate is patient, trustworthy, organized, and passionate about helping others maintain their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly, disabled, and recovering clients.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Grooming
- Toileting
- Mobility assistance
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including:
- Laundry
- Dusting
- Vacuuming
- Dishwashing
- Maintaining a clean and safe living environment
- Provide medication reminders in accordance with the client’s care plan.
- Observe and report changes in the client’s condition, behavior, or environment to the supervisor or nurse.
- Monitor and document vital signs when assigned and appropriately trained.
- Escort and transport clients to medical appointments, errands, and community activities as authorized.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency policies and procedures.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for each client.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous caregiving, home health, CNA, or direct care experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
