💰 Compensation & Schedule
- $33.00/hour incentives
- Guaranteed 40 hours/week
- Monday – Thursday schedule (4 days/week!)
- Home Daily — no long hauls or overnights away from home
Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
🚚 About the Role
This is a Cover Driver position, stepping in for regular Line Haul Drivers during vacations or absences. When covering routes, you’ll:
- Start routes typically around 12:00 AM
- Drive from Edwardsville, KS to depot locations and back
- Focus strictly on driving — no loading/unloading required (handled by warehouse staff)
When not covering routes, you’ll stay active by:
- Moving trailers and trucks as a yard jockey
- Assisting with warehouse operations, including case handling
📋 Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Operate vehicles safely and in compliance with all DOT regulations
- Complete required paperwork (logbooks, DVIR, etc.)
- Plan routes and ensure proper documentation for transport
- Secure cargo according to safety standards
- Maintain clean, organized equipment and workspace
- Report incidents and communicate with dispatch
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies
✅ What You Bring
- Valid Class A CDL (REQUIRED)
- Doubles/Triples Endorsement (REQUIRED)
- At least 1 year of driving experience
- DOT certification
- Must be 21 years or older
- Flexibility to work overnight, early morning, or evening shifts
💪 Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and standing
- Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 56 lbs
- Comfortable working in both driving and warehouse environments
- Willingness to work additional hours during peak seasons (Oct–Dec)
