About the Role
A GA·RA Barista is someone who takes pride in coffee and understands the value of thoughtful hospitality. You will be a key part of shaping what GA·RA feels like during our early chapter. Every drink you serve and every interaction you have will help define our standards and our atmosphere.
This role is hands on, fast paced, and detail oriented. It requires care, curiosity, and a genuine respect for coffee and the people you serve.
You Will
- Turn on espresso machines and set up the coffee bar.
- Complete prep for drink mixes, bases, sauces, and toppings.
- Prepare espresso drinks, teas, and creative beverages consistently.
- Engage guests with warm, friendly, and attentive service.
- Answer questions about menu items and GA·RA’s coffee offerings.
- Maintain a clean, organized bar throughout the day.
- Restock supplies and rotate products following proper procedures.
- Support teammates during peak periods.
- Cover barista duties for teammates on their days off.
- Complete all daily, weekly, and as needed cleaning tasks.
You Are
- Passionate about coffee and cafe hospitality.
- Friendly, warm, and focused on providing great guest experiences.
- Detail oriented and steady under pressure.
- Someone who enjoys working on a team and supporting others.
You Have
- At least 1 year of specialty coffee barista experience or 2 years working in non-specialty coffee in a high volume fast paced environment.
- The ability to dial in espresso and prepare drinks consistently.
- Flexibility for weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, for example coffee bags or crates of milk.
- Ability to bend, reach, and move comfortably in a small bar space.
- Ability to taste and smell for quality control.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
