Cook (GPSTC Cafeteria)

of Duties & Responsibilities: Under general supervision, supervises or performs the preparation and/or serving of food during assigned shift. Monitors compliance with safety, sanitation and health rules and standards. Oversees quality control for adherence to established food service guidelines. Ensures adequate inventory of food and related supplies. Responsible for supervision of state inmate workers and other food service staff.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and one year of experience in a food service operation that involved preparing and/or cooking food. Willing to train.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference may be given to those applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum training & experience requirements, possess one or more of the following:

• ServSafe Food Handler Certified

Work duties performed in person on main GPSTC campus. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire. GPSTC does not offer sponsorships.

Other Remarks: Selected candidate subject to criminal records background and drug screening clearance.
