Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences to identify potential security risks or safety hazards.
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee activities and detect suspicious behavior.
- Control access points using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents by following established emergency response procedures.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for management review.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and intervening when necessary within legal boundaries.
- Support emergency situations by providing first aid or CPR if required and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, military service, law enforcement, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and access control technologies.
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and Taser use is preferred.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and physical security duties.
- Strong skills in incident report writing, conflict de-escalation, and conflict management.
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with the public and team members.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods, patrol large areas, and perform necessary physical security tasks effectively.
