What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Manager position at G3 Tech Business Pvt Ltd (G3Tech)?
Location: Albany, NY - onsite
Position overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead receiving, inventory control, allocation execution, replenishment planning, and outbound distribution of women's, men's, and children's clothing to a network of 75 physical retail stores. This role is responsible for coordinating warehouse employees, merchandise flows, and shipment priorities so that the right products reach the right stores accurately and on schedule.
The successful candidate must have at least five years of experience in a comparable apparel warehouse supervisory role, ideally bringing 5–10 years or more of relevant experience. Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Dynamics warehouse management module is mandatory; e-commerce fulfillment experience is an advantage.
Key responsibilities
Incoming merchandise: Plan inbound deliveries and receiving capacity; oversee unloading, counting, inspection, scanning, purchase-order verification, labeling, and put-away. Resolve shortages, overages, damages, and documentation discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
Apparel inventory control: Maintain accurate inventory by SKU, style, size, color, category,
and warehouse location. Oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, stock adjustments,
discrepancy investigations, and controls to reduce loss and mispicks.
Allocation and replenishment planning: Work closely with merchandising, buying, planning, and store operations to translate approved allocation plans into executable warehouse work. Prioritize new arrivals, seasonal launches, promotions, store openings, and replenishment
based on store needs, available inventory, and shipment deadlines.
Distribution to 75 stores: Coordinate picking, packing, store-level carton segregation, labeling, staging, loading, and dispatch. Maintain shipment accuracy, store-specific packing
documentation, and reliable delivery schedules across the retail network.
Microsoft Dynamics warehouse operations: Use the warehouse management module daily to process receipts, location movements, inventory transactions, picking and packing work,
transfer orders, shipment confirmations, and replenishment tasks. Monitor transaction accuracy, investigate exceptions, and train team members on the company's configured workflows and mobile scanning processes.
Labor and capacity planning: Supervise and coach warehouse employees; assign daily work, plan staffing, monitor productivity, and balance receiving and outbound capacity. Manage peak- season workloads and escalate staffing or capacity constraints early.
Carrier and store coordination: Coordinate dispatch schedules with transportation providers and store teams. Track delayed, missing, or incorrect shipments and drive timely resolution.
Returns and transfers: Oversee store returns, inter-store transfer execution, damaged
merchandise, and restocking or disposition in accordance with approved procedures.
Safety and operational discipline: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse; enforce safe
material-handling practices and operating procedures. Ensure employees are appropriately
trained and authorized for assigned equipment and tasks.
Reporting and improvement: Track inventory accuracy, receiving turnaround, pick/pack
accuracy, on-time dispatch, order completion, labor productivity, damages, and returns.
Recommend practical improvements to layout, slotting, workflows, and system usage.
E-commerce support, where applicable: Assist with individual-order fulfillment, parcel
shipping, online-order inventory coordination, and customer-return processing.
Required qualifications
Comparable supervisory experience: Minimum five years in a similar warehouse or
distribution supervisory role within apparel; 5–10 years or more of relevant experience is
strongly preferred.
Apparel distribution expertise: Direct experience handling women's, men's, and children's
clothing, including high-SKU assortments, style/size/color variations, seasonal inventory, and retail replenishment.
Multi-store distribution: Demonstrated ability to coordinate merchandise allocation execution, warehouse planning, and distribution across a large physical-store network, with the capability to support 75 stores.
Microsoft Dynamics experience, mandatory: Practical, hands-on use of the Microsoft
Dynamics warehouse management module in a live warehouse environment. General ERP
familiarity or experience limited to Dynamics finance, sales, or CRM does not satisfy this
requirement.
Operational leadership: Proven ability to supervise warehouse teams, set priorities, meet
shipping deadlines, and resolve inventory and fulfillment problems.
Inventory and reporting skills: Strong understanding of receiving controls, stock movements, cycle counting, transfer orders, and warehouse performance reporting; working proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Communication and judgment: Ability to coordinate effectively with warehouse employees, merchandising teams, store managers, vendors, and carriers while maintaining accurate records and clear accountability.
Preferred qualifications
E-commerce fulfillment: Experience with direct-to-consumer picking, packing, parcel shipping, and online returns.
Comparable retail scale: Previous responsibility for apparel distribution to approximately 75 stores or a similarly complex multi-location network.
Systems improvement: Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics warehouse
implementations, process changes, user training, or integrations with scanning, shipping, and order-management systems.
Peak-season operations: Experience managing promotional surges, seasonal launches, and new-store inventory rollouts.
Work environment and schedule
This is an on-site warehouse leadership role requiring regular presence on the warehouse floor and coordination with receiving and shipping teams. Flexibility to support early or late shipments, peak periods, and occasional weekend operations may be required; the regular schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
