G3 Engineering & Surveying is seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources (HR) professional to lead and elevate our HR function across all locations. This role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support the company’s continued growth, strengthen our culture, and attract and retain top talent in the engineering and surveying industry.
The ideal candidate is well-rounded, with strong experience, building an HR team that supports and partners with both team members and leaders to foster a positive, high performing workplace, and is skilled across all areas of HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with company growth and business objectives
- Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership on organizational planning and decision-making
- Lead and manage multi-location HR operations to ensure consistency and effectiveness
- Evaluate and enhance employee benefits offerings to remain competitive and cost-effective
- Oversee performance management systems, including goal setting, reviews, and feedback processes
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and measure employee satisfaction
- Lead change management efforts during periods of growth, restructuring, or transition
- Establish and track key HR metrics and analytics to inform leadership decisions
- Oversee compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Manage risk, including employee investigations, documentation, and policy enforcement
- Oversee, develop, and maintain job descriptions, HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
- Build leadership development programs and training initiatives
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a strong employee experience
- Partner with marketing or leadership on employer branding and recruiting strategies
- Manage HR systems, technology, and process improvements
- Oversee vendor relationships, including benefits providers and recruiting platforms
- Support budgeting and forecasting for HR-related expenses
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company goals and growth plans
- Assist the Director of Business Development and Administration in managing all day-to-day HR and recruitment operations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and branch managers
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives
- Oversee full-cycle recruiting, with a strong focus on engineering and technical roles
- Build and maintain university and industry recruiting pipelines
- Work directly with Business Development team to enhance employer branding and candidate experience
- Develop retention strategies and career pathing initiatives
- Foster a positive, performance-driven, and collaborative culture
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Manage benefits administration, compensation planning, and HR systems
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all HR matters
- Support leadership in coaching, feedback, and employee development
- Identify training needs and implement professional development programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field is required; Master’s degree is a plus but not required
- 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- SHRM certified a plus, but not required
- Experience in engineering, construction, or professional services industry is a plus, but not required
- Strong background in recruiting and talent acquisition, along with a proven track record of implementing succession planning programs to identify and partner with leaders in developing internal talent
- Deep knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proven ability to manage a successful HR team and department with minimal supervision, while keeping leadership and direct supervisor appropriately informed
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel periodically, as needed, to all G3 locations in North and South Carolina to support various HR and Business initiatives
- A background in regional HR or experience managing multiple locations is preferred, but not required
- Skilled in all aspects of employee relations, with a focus on building trust, resolving conflict, conducting efficient investigations, and ensuring legal compliance
- Demonstrated comfort navigating HRIS platforms and training team members, with a strong working knowledge of ADP
