What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Automation Engineer position at G2 Startup Advisors?
G2 Startup Advisors is supporting Healthmonix's Engineering growth!
Healthmonix is transforming how healthcare quality and cost are measured and improved. Our
cloud-based analytics platforms help providers, health systems, and ACOs thrive in value-based
care programs such as MIPS, MVPs, and TEAM. We turn complex performance and cost data
into actionable insights that directly impact patient outcomes, healthcare affordability, and
provider success.
At Healthmonix, we believe quality starts with data integrity and precision. Every release we
make helps healthcare organizations nationwide improve care delivery, efficiency, and
outcomes.
The Role
We’re looking for a QA Automation Engineer to help ensure the quality, accuracy, and
performance of the Healthmonix suite of applications, including the Cost Analytics Platform—a
modern, Snowflake-based data and analytics product used by healthcare organizations across the
country—and MIPSpro, which facilitates seamless data integration and effective score
optimization to streamline the MIPS reporting and submission process.
In this role, you’ll design and execute test strategies across multiple products—covering data
pipelines, APIs, measure calculation engines, and analytics dashboards. You’ll build automation
that validates large-scale healthcare datasets, supports regression testing across complex
workflows, and ensures that our clinical, cost, and performance calculations meet CMS and
enterprise-grade standards.
You’ll collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, and product managers to embed
automated testing early in the development lifecycle, drive quality best practices, and deliver
highly accurate, reliable solutions trusted by thousands of healthcare organizations nationwide.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement automated test suites to exercise End to End processes, APIs, and UI/UX
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright, Python, PyTest, Postman/Newman, Selenium, or similar.
- Validate data accuracy, transformations, and aggregations within Snowflake and other data sources.
- Write and execute SQL queries to test data integrity across cost, quality, and performance datasets.
- Create and execute manual and automated test cases during sprints and regression cycles.
- Collaborate with developers to design testable architecture and identify defects early in the sprint.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD workflows using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and daily scrums as an active Agile team member.
- Communicate defects and risks clearly, ensuring each release meets Healthmonix’s standards for accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and automation practices.
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of hands-on QA experience testing web or data-driven SaaS applications.
- 1–2 years of experience designing or maintaining automated test suites (API, UI, or data).
- Experience writing complex SQL queries for data validation and regression testing.
- Familiarity with test frameworks (Playwright, PyTest, Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
- Knowledge of API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Understanding of Agile Scrum and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- A mindset focused on accuracy, data integrity, and delivering measurable quality improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing ETL/ELT or Snowflake data pipelines.
- Knowledge of HIPAA/PHI compliance in testing.
- Experience with Azure and CI/CD integration for automated regression testing.
- Experience creating or improving QA automation processes.
