Salary Range: Based on relevant experience, education and certifications

• 8 years: $135,000
• 10 years: $155,000
• Please note these ranges vary depending on the specific opportunity, experience, and other factors

Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain Active DoD Secret Clearance

Where you make an impact: For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Systems Engineer to support Navy and DoD programs that demand strong acquisition engineering, disciplined systems engineering practice, and the ability to guide programs through technical, lifecycle, and readiness challenges. This role is ideal for engineers who excel at requirements, architecture, integration, and cross-stakeholder coordination.

What does this mean to you? In this role, you will:

• Lead and execute systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle: requirements development, architecture, design, integration, test, and verification & validation.
• Apply acquisition engineering expertise to support analyses of alternatives, technical baselines, risk assessments, cost/schedule tradeoffs, and readiness for key acquisition events.
• Develop and maintain system and system-of-systems documentation including specifications, interface control documents, configuration baselines, and technical reports.
• Participate in Enterprise Change Requests (ECRs) and configuration management activities.
• Support engineering reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.) with clear and defensible technical inputs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams—software, cyber, platform integrators, program management—to ensure consistent, traceable, and technically sound solutions.
• Communicate technical issues and recommendations clearly to government stakeholders, including senior leaders

The ideal candidate will have:

• Demonstrated experience in acquisition engineering
• Strong understanding of systems engineering processes, industry standards, and familiarity with MBSE methods and tools (i.e., Cameo/MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, or similar)
• Ability to produce clear, concise technical and executive-level briefings
• Experience using data-driven decision tools, modeling environments, or analytical frameworks to support engineering assessments
• Background with Navy C4I systems, platform integration, mission architecture, or fleet readiness analysis
• Experience operating in classified environments or supporting cyber, RMF, or interoperability assessments

Let's talk salary. The annual salary range for this position starts at $135,000 and goes up, based on your qualifications. We also offer a competitive benefits package and have fringe benefits offered throughout the year. The benefits package value ranges from $13,000 for a single employee, and up to $28,000 for an employee and their family. Due to the classification level of the projects we support as a Defense Contractor, we cannot offer fully remote opportunities at this time.

You will have a shiny desk at our G2 Ops office, plus the opportunity to work at a military site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!). We do allow teleworking with prior approval, but supporting the DoD, you will be required to work at a government site as well. We’ve worked hard to create a great culture where our team gets to come to a collaborative, exciting office environment, and we want you to join the fun!

Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD Secret level clearance.
