About the Co-op Program:
G2's co-op program provides Senior students with an in-depth understanding of the Buy-Side, Sell-Side, Restructuring, and Capital Markets processes. Co-ops will also gain exposure to both comparative and intrinsic forms of valuation. Opportunities to regularly collaborate and forge relationships with your peer group, subject matter experts in the industry, and our G2 Leadership Team are endless through your exposure to deal teamwork, manager coaching huddles and ongoing training. You'll have an immediate impact on projects and initiatives from day one, arming you with an even more diverse background for success in your professional career!
Program Timing: Fall cycle
Location: G2 Capital Advisors operates in a hybrid work model with 4 days per week in the office.
Requirement: Candidates selected for the program will be required to provide at least 40 hours weekly and be available between the normal business hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm EST.
What You'll Do:
- Perform in-depth market research that supports G2's Buy-Side, Sell-Side, Restructuring, and Capital Markets business development and mandate execution
- Assist in creating comparative valuation methodologies (comparable analysis, market sizing, and precedent transactions)
- Analyze M&A market trends and produce industry-specific research
- Prepare financial analysis for G2 clients across industries and sectors to support mandate processes
- Collaborate in the development of marketing collateral for G2 mandates including sale processes, financings, assessments and pitches
- Engage with G2's existing and prospective client base
- Provide timely communication to internal and external stakeholders on engagements as and when required
- Manage competing timelines and priorities accordingly on engagements
- Work collaboratively with team members toward a shared goal
What We Look For:
- Currently enrolled in a 4 or 5-year academic institution with an outstanding academic record (3.5 GPA minimum)
- Students who have successfully completed one co-op in a related field, preferably in investment banking, capital markets, restructuring, private equity or venture capital
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit strong attention to detail, business acumen, business writing, and work ethic
- Proactive, self-starter in nature; adept at working in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated research experience and proven ability with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PPT, etc.)
- Strong understanding of the three financial statements
- Familiarity with financial analysis and financial modeling
- Can manage multiple priorities effectively; manages up and across to proactively keep others up-to-date on progress and challenges
- Proficiency in SourceScrub, CapIQ & Salesforce is a plus!!!
