Position Summary:
The Supply Parts Group are the backbone of the Supply Division and are the key support for field Supply Outside Salespeople. Putting customer needs first, the incumbent represents and promotes Van Keppel operations to ensure customer confidence and maximum profits for the Company and the store. Supply Division Parts Assistant will coordinate with all Van Keppel Supply locations to function in key factors driving the support and profitability of our entire Supply Division.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in all facets of data entry assistance
- Managing inventory which includes staying apprised of stock levels, anticipating stock calls and demands, and evaluating turn
- Large stock order placement from authorized Supply Division vendors
- Assisting in vendor returns, CWI returns, PSR and PPR administration
- Providing eXtend data correction
- Assist in data entry of GoldMine (CRM)
- Managing reports to track freight loss and gain. Making sure we increase our freight recovery to the positive.
- Displaying flexibility and openness to change and encouraging others to stay open to changes and improvements in policies and procedures
- Maintaining the highest integrity for safety by following all safety guidelines, reinforcing and teaching safety SOP’s and inspecting work areas continually to ensure workers comply with safety procedures and protocols
- Organizing and managing your time productively to ensure the highest possible return to the Company and its customers.
- Communicating with all levels of management to ensure that all service to our customers is handled in the most professional manner, which includes a strong focus on honesty and integrity in all transactions.
- Creating and/or refining procedures to turn inventory 6x annually
- Contacting customers and vendors by phone, email or in person to answer queries and solve problems that supply parts specialists are not authorized to solve independently
- Managing the business to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as established by the General Manager and the Supply Corporate Parts Director
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5 years of experience working with supply parts in the construction industry or related
- 5 years of supervisory experience
- 3 years of inventory experience
- 3 years of customer service experience

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- This position requires frequent local travel using a company DOT-registered truck
- Must possess or obtain Class B Commercial Driver License and DOT Medical Card
- Periods of sitting while driving or performing desk work using computer technology
- Must be able to climb short ladders/step stools to handle product
- Ability to open boxes using a box knife
- Periods of reaching, standing, walking, squatting, twisting, bending to move parts or stock inventory
- Must be able to work indoors or outdoors under a variety of temperatures and weather conditions
