We are seeking a skilled Welder II/Fabricator to join our team at G.W. Becker, Inc. (GWBI). The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating raw materials and components to create assemblies and crane parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Weld metal components in various positions
- Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies
- Finish surfaces of material products and re-touch welds
- Examine finished work pieces for quality and defects
- Operate hand and power tools, including welding equipment
- Handle materials using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years of related experience or training
- 3G and 4G FCAW welding certificate
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Prior overhead crane experience preferred
- Strong understanding of welding equipment and accessories
- Flux Core Experience
- Automated Sub Arc Welding
- Frequently stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Occasionally sit, climb, or balance
- Lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds regularly, and 25 pounds frequently
