11:00 a.m.- 7:30 p.m. M-F. Located in Warren. Education Requirement: High School Diploma· Years of experience: at least 2 years with some type of mechanical experience, but the manager is open to someone who is right out of school, has knowledge of basic hand tools and how to use them· Skills: Basic mechanical skills· Maintain records and data collected· Will be performing physical duties involving large and heavy high voltage batteries including movement, shipping and disposalThis technician will report to a 2nd shift Group Leader and specialize in the safe and orderly preparation and testing of high voltage batteries and related components within a lab environment. Team Focus: Test execution for high-voltage EV batteries Setting up and instrumenting devices under test (DUTs)Monitoring tests in chambersPerforming initial inspectionsDisassembling or building battery packs from scratchSupporting engineering staffFabrication work (modifying packs or building fixtures) Environment: Non-production, test facility Team Purpose: Initial inspection, build/disassemble battery packsKey Projects: New EV batteries Tasks: Instrumenting batteries, fabrication work, test live voltage batteries for GM vehicles, hooking up voltage cables, testing, disassemble the battery and put it back together, cycling the battery through a life cycle through the computer, computer runs the simulations on the batteryCompany DescriptionG-TECH is a WBENC-certified, women-owned recruitment and staffing firm with over 30 years of expertise in Engineering, IT, and Professional sectors.
