Tanning Salon Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Tanning Salon Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, handling sales transactions, and implementing marketing strategies to promote salon growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the salon team to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Manage inventory control, purchasing, and merchandising to maintain optimal stock levels and product presentation.
• Handle payroll, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS transactions accurately.
• Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff members to foster a skilled and professional team.
• Develop marketing initiatives to attract new clients and retain existing customers.
• Maintain store appearance through stocking, cleaning, and organizing merchandise displays.
• Monitor retail math, pricing strategies, and sales management to maximize revenue.
• Conduct employee orientation sessions and ongoing training & development programs.
• Supervise scheduling to ensure proper shift coverage while managing time effectively.
• Utilize organizational skills to streamline store operations and improve overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in retail or service environments; supervisory or assistant manager experience preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS software, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and retail math.
• Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele.
• Experience in marketing, merchandising, purchasing, budgeting, and sales management is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability in customer service excellence and sales-driven environments.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control and store presentation.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
