Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks to deliver and pickup packages along assigned routes, ensuring timely arrivals.
- Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques.
- Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols during all driving activities.
- Use mobile devices to navigate routes efficiently, document deliveries, and communicate with managers as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with recipients during delivery and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling packages of varying weights, ensuring proper manual handling techniques are used at all times.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and route documentation to ensure operational transparency and compliance.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong focus on customer service and safe driving practices.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks or box trucks is highly desirable.
- Experience with manual handling, heavy lifting, moving packages, and operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and weight handling in the workplace to ensure safety at all times.
- Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation and communication purposes during routes.
- Strong physical stamina for load & unload tasks involving heavy or bulky packages; capable of adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Valid driver’s license for
drivers or courier roles; previous courier or delivery driving experience is advantageous. - All applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and a background check Including a safety threat analysis.
