Inventory Control Specialist

G&S Foods is a central PA based snack food company operating in Hanover, PA. We are a co-manufacturer of sweet and salty snacks from popcorn to chocolate-covered pretzels. We are hiring for a Inventory Control Specialist. Be a part of our continued Growth & Success at G&S Foods!

The Inventory Control Specialist is a critical part of the warehouse team at our production facility. Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking stock levels, and ensuring inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits. This role helps support efficient warehouse operations, minimize inventory discrepancies, and ensure timely availability of products and materials

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
• Schedule and perform regular cycle count and physical inventory audits
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies and report findings to supervisors
• Record and document all inventory transactions (receipts, issues, adjustments)
• Monitor inventory levels and notify purchasing or warehouse staff of low stock
• Assist in investigating root causes of inventory issues
• Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, accounting, and production teams to ensure inventory accuracy
• Ensure all products are properly labeled and stored
• Follow safety and company procedures at all times

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics (1–2 years preferred)

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency in inventory software (DEACOM) and Microsoft Office programs
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good math and problem-solving skills
• Previous forklift and high reach certification required

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to talk and hear
• Frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally lift and / or move up to fifty (50) pounds
• Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision

Shift:

• Sunday to Thursday, 11:00pm-7:00am
