Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
- Perform lawn care tasks like mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy turf and vibrant gardens
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators and snow plows safely and efficiently
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including pruning, tree trimming, irrigation system installation and repair, and general gardening tasks
- Support construction projects by preparing sites, digging trenches, laying sod or mulch, and assisting with hardscape setup
- Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections, cleaning tools after use, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot landscaping machinery and power tools effectively
- Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices
- Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and wheelbarrows confidently
- Familiarity with excavation equipment like excavators for site preparation or hardscape installation
- Knowledge of tree care techniques including trimming, pruning, planting or removal procedures
- Understanding of irrigation systems for installation or repair purposes
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail in maintaining landscapes and ensuring quality results
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
