Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of machinery including bending machines, cold and abrasive saws and attention to detail
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to customer standards
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow
- Perform routine maintenance checks on machines and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Assist in setup and changeover procedures for different production runs using hand tools and tooling equipment
- Maintain detailed records of machine operation, quality control checks, and safety inspections in accordance with manufacturing protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating industrial machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math principles
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing specifications and quality standards accurately
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and commitment to maintaining a safe workspace
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently
- Strong attention to detail coupled with good communication skills for effective teamwork
