Production Manager

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to join our Karl Lagerfeld Paris team. This role will oversee production processes from development through bulk delivery, ensuring products are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and align with company and retailer requirements. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong organizational and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment while partnering closely with Design, Technical Design, Product Development, and Global Sourcing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage production timelines and maintain production systems, including updating factory dates, ship modes, and key production information.
- Organize and lead weekly production meetings with Sales to review current production status and resolve outstanding issues.
- Issue purchase orders according to seasonal calendar deadlines and maintain purchase order accuracy throughout the production cycle.
- Track the manufacturing process to ensure products meet approved purchase order requirements and delivery timelines.
- Communicate daily with overseas offices to monitor pre-production and production activities, resolving issues to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Manage the Time Action Calendar and proactively identify and resolve production challenges.
- Review weekly Work in Process (WIP) reports from vendors to monitor production progress and confirm ship dates.
- Provide management with regular updates regarding production, logistics, and any outstanding issues.
- Review pre-production, top-of-production, and shipment samples to ensure they meet approved standards.
- Coordinate sample development to ensure timely execution and delivery.
- Communicate company and retailer testing, compliance, labeling, and packaging requirements to vendors.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising or equivalent fashion background.
- 5 years of apparel production experience.
- Prior experience in outerwear or fashion apparel production preferred.
- Strong cost negotiation skills and knowledge of apparel cost breakdowns.
- Excellent communication skills with experience partnering across Product Development, Merchandising, Design, Technical Design, and overseas production teams.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong follow-up and project management abilities.
- Experience working with overseas factories and vendors in a fast-paced production environment.

The pay range for this position is: $70,000 – $110,000 per year.
