Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Associate to join our Karl Lagerfeld- Sportswear production team. This role is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end sampling process, from ordering and tracking garment samples to managing sample yardage. As the point person for sampling, this position plays a critical role in supporting assortment accuracy and business decision-making, collaborating with Design, Product Development, Sales, and Merchandising teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order sample yardage at a greige and color level to support color samples within PLM or Excel.
- Process vendor and supplier invoices for sample yardage and sample-making costs.
- Manage all sampling-related needs for assigned product categories, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of garment samples for global distribution.
- Receive and organize daily packages from overseas partners by product classification.
- Maintain consistent communication with vendors and suppliers to ensure adherence to brand calendars.
- Act as liaison between Design, Product Development, Sales, Merchandising, and external partners regarding sampling needs.
- Attend weekly cross-functional meetings to represent sampling priorities and updates.
- Maintain seasonal sample yardage costs and readiness reporting for leadership and business teams.
- Keep seasonal sample trackers updated and provide readiness reporting leading up to milestone meetings.
- Support creation of leadership dashboards by providing headlines and sampling metrics.
- Anticipate potential needs and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Prioritize workload effectively, balancing multiple deliverables and shifting business needs.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Development or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of related experience in the fashion/apparel industry.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with results-driven communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookup).
- Knowledge of the product lifecycle.
- Superior organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic PLM knowledge is a plus.
- Experience working directly with vendors.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently.

The pay range for this position is: $65,000 – $75,000 per year (based on a 40-hour work week).
