Success Profile
The Assistant Designer supports the creation and development of a competitive fashion apparel line that blends commercial relevance with brand-right fashion. This role assists in designing products that meet the brand’s aesthetic while aligning with strategic and financial goals. The ideal candidate has strong technical design abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally throughout all stages of product development.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Product Creation
- Complete all aspects of design packages—including sketching, preparing tech packs, and maintaining line sheets.
- Build and update tech packs from initial concept through bulk production.
- Submit and approve artwork, strike-offs, yarns, lab dips, and trims.
- Apply garment technical knowledge to ensure accurate fit, construction, and design integrity.
- Partner with the Production team to maintain garment consistency from design through execution.
- Participate in garment reviews and internal buy meetings.
Seasonal Development & Workflow Management
- Organize and manage all seasonal design development materials: artwork, trims, fabric worksheets, initial development notes, finalized tech packs, and line lists.
- Communicate frequently with overseas factories to support development and approvals.
- Maintain and adhere to the Time & Action Calendar to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in fashion design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related discipline.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, PLM systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail with excellent time-management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range
$55,000 - $60,000 per year
($24.03 – $26.45 per hour, annualized based on a 40-hour workweek)
