G&H Collision, a well-established auto body repair shop, is looking for a motivated and hardworking Auto Body Technician Apprentice to join our team. As an Auto Body Technician Apprentice, you will receive on-the-job training, learning the tools and techniques required to repair, restore, and maintain vehicles. This apprenticeship will teach you valuable skills such as frame straightening, dent removal, painting, and parts replacement, setting you up for success in the auto repair field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior auto body technicians in performing vehicle repairs, including dent removal, frame repairs, and part replacements.
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and applying primer.
- Learn how to use industry-standard tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Communicate effectively with team members to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Strong interest in automotive repair and bodywork.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (preferred).
- Previous experience in a mechanic or auto body shop environment is a plus, but not required.
